#4-02: Mite and invertebrate symbiosis

Organizer: Barry M Oconnor

Because insects are highly diverse and important as ecosystem service agents and because mites can exert large effects on insect populations, insect-mite interactions should be analyzed from various perspectives, including evolutionary, ecological, and pest-management perspectives. In this symposium, we are demonstrating and discussing about different insect-mite interactions, including parasitism, commensalism, mutualism and phoresy to see the mite impact on ecosystems and insect-mite coevolution.
